PRESERVING THE HISTORIC PAST OF CALAVERAS COUNTY AGRI-TOURISM OPPORTUNITY In keeping with Calaveras County's rich tradition of an agricultural and tourism economic base, Trinitas offers and 18 hole golf course in the midst of an operating, ancient organic olive orchard, creating a spectacular agri-tourism opportunity for Calaveras County. In addition to olive oil tasting and orchard tours, the clubhouse will include retail space for local Calaveras-grown products and a special restaurant menu that will make Trinitas the region's largest consumer of Calaveras grown products. Trinitas will generate significant tax revenue for Calaveras County while preserving the natural beauty, historic past and open space of surrounding countryside. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, COMMUNITY ORIENTED Trinitas Preserves the natural beauty and open space of the surrounding countryside for future generations, while contributing greatly to the county's base of economic development. Visitors can enjoy bird watching, nature hikes, tour the orchard and even make their own organic olive oil to take home. The Ridge at Trinitas is currently undergoing a rigorous environmental review process that is scheduled to be complete toward the end of 2008. This review ensures that the project will meet or exceed every local, state and federal environmental standard. LOCAL PARTNERSHIP, LOCAL PROGRESS The current county General plan recognizes that "golf courses provide significant social, recreational and economic benefits tot he county." Trinitas easily achieves this and provides a world-class destination that will complement existing recreational amenities, while also promoting agricultural operations in a sustainable way - helping to support Calaveras County's efforts to be fiscally secure. Trinitas will generate significant tax revenue, allowing Calaveras County to provide expanded public safety resources, such as law enforcement and fire protection, while also upgrading public infrastructure such as schools, roads, parks and playgrounds.
